The seat and the rear suspension is one of the strengths of the G 650 GS. With the introductions there was only trying to test the bike, and what a day I say try because we had to exit route. In one of the latest reviews published commented that shot with the wind, rain and snow, and we just had missed the snow! Well ... this time as well as rain, fog and wind, snow and cold we had to stop! Who gives more? The original route went through Navacerrada but as you can imagine, with the snow the port was closed so we were forced to change the route to reach Torrecaballeros, province of Segovia, half frozen and shaking. Luck of the heated grips!

The circuit of Jarama was the starting point, so I dressed in the costume of sanity and the raincoat over, we went on the road to enjoy the G 650 GS, yes, yes, you read correctly: 'enjoy', because truth is that the smoothness of the engine and its performance is appreciated, and much, to shoot in such complicated conditions.

The first sensation that conveys the bike is extremely light, we speak of 192 kgs. weight to be handled with ease, like a feather, especially the front. Oops! A small detail that needs a slight adjustment, the position of the horn button and turn signal switch (up and down respectively) is opposite to most of the bikes, so in more than one occasion I played the horn to try to indicate a change direction ... and I was not the only one because I could hear a beep from bikes from other fellow travelers.

As I said, the smoothness of the engine is clear from the outset, it offers an explosive delivery, nor come out to beat rising gas conference, but you will find a constant and gradual power responds with whatever continuity in gear. Views conditions, and surrounded by a landscape of a Christmas card, the pace of progress on the highway was limited to keep the fifth gear position and a cruising speed that we found a very comfortable bike to ride. Getting into the province of Segovia left behind the snow on the road to enjoy the sun and clean asphalt let us appreciate a little more handling of the G 650 GS. Total fun with the throttle, especially in the corners, and a comfortable riding position encourages travel to face significantly longer than at first might think. Indeed, the small screen baffle meets pretty good job, considering its size, clear, and that that Torrecaballeros way the wind blew a great time.

Arriving at the destination, despite the lower fingers and toes half frozen, the G 650 GS left me very dissappointed. Whether it's your first bike, or you're a romantic at the first G 650 GS model you want to renew, or just looking for a bike for city tours and even half distance, the new BMW passes the test with high marks, a bike for those who do not want complications and foremost looking for a bike to enjoy from the start.
