In the stage of Brno Race 2 of the 2011 Superbike Championshippositions of the two Italians were reversed from Race 1 : Max Biaggi managed to hold off an indomitable Marco Melandri, who won the first heat. Carlos Checa and his Ducati, however, have repeated his s result of Race 1 with another third place that allows him to retain the championship lead.
The reigning world champion led with no errors this time, although Melandri has always been very close to the Roman RSV4, swapping positions several times, Biaggi was determined to will this win the race and despite a beginning similar to that of the first trial, with the three title contenders neighbors to fight for the top three places, the Roman is at the end was more significant, especially in the last two laps.
In the standings, Checa is still in the lead with 293 points ahead of Biaggi (263) and Melandri (240). Next appointment in two weeks at Silverstone.
